Why OurPwr exists
This is for the daily safety concerns as much as the worst ones: the walk to your car, the bus home, a first date, a shift that ends after dark, harassment at work, sexual assault. Any of them can leave you without a clear way to get help at the moment you need it. OurPwr gives you a way to reach the people you trust before, during and after. We are here to eradicate daily safety concerns, and we are built for students, parents, women who work alone, anyone who takes public transit after dark, and anyone who would rather not have to think about it at all.
Built from lived experience
Robin was sexually harassed at work at seventeen and could not find a safety solution that was any use, because everything on the market was a reactive panic button. Women need proactive tools: ones that capture evidence, work discreetly, and come with a community of support behind them.
What we stand for
OurPwr is here to take the weight off your daily safety concerns with technology that has your back. It should give women more room to live their lives, not one more reason to watch over their shoulder.
